Areas drawn from our hotels' addresses — updated as the selection changes.
The Medina
Best for Historic atmosphereThe ancient, walled heart of Marrakech is home to traditional riads, bustling souks, and historic landmarks like Jemaa el-Fnaa. Staying here offers immediate access to the city's vibrant street life and architectural heritage.
Hivernage
Best for Upscale dining and nightlifeA leafy, modern neighbourhood characterised by wide avenues, upscale international restaurants, and high-end cocktail lounges. It provides a peaceful, luxurious alternative to the Medina while remaining within walking distance of the historic walls.
Outer Estates & Golf Resorts
Best for Tranquility and leisurePositioned along the scenic routes leading out of Marrakech, these expansive resorts offer golf courses, mountain views, and quiet luxury. These properties are ideal for travellers seeking immense space and privacy away from the urban bustle.
Areas to consider
Be aware that resorts located deep in the outskirts require private drivers or lengthy taxi rides for daily dining and sightseeing in the historic Medina.

Each bar shows how a hotel's nightly price moved over the period, leaving out the most unusual days. The marker is its typical price.
Every hotel counts once, at its own typical price, so hotels we happened to check more often don't carry more weight. Prices are the lowest rate available for the whole stay, worked out per night in euros.

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) the properties listed above were measured against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google — weighted by how many reviews sit behind them — five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a genuinely first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own — when the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
