Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 22 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Dar Rhizlane is best for travellers seeking a quiet, romantic garden oasis within a more peaceful neighbourhood. Guests praise its lush, secluded garden setting, serene pool and refined Moroccan fine dining. It blends authentic Moorish architectural details seamlessly. Travellers should note its distance from the main Medina, and some may find the in-room technology is slightly dated.
Guests score it 9.4 out of 10 — the average across the 18 hotels we list in Marrakech is 9.4.
- The property is enveloped by manicured gardens filled with fragrant citrus trees and bougainvillea, offering a quiet sanctuary that feels far removed from the city's hectic pace.
- From intricately carved plasterwork to hand-painted tiles, the interiors celebrate traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance and historical depth.
- Located in the residential Hivernage neighborhood, the hotel is not within immediate walking distance of Jemaa el-Fnaa, requiring a short taxi ride for those seeking the heart of the historic center.
- While the rooms are beautifully decorated, some of the electronic features and charging ports feel somewhat older and could benefit from a modern upgrade.

Reviews from Google“An amazing stay! We spent 3 night there early June and everything was perfect. Well located, it is the right balance between a riad, but with space, outside garden and beautiful pool. We stayed in a suite which was just perfect. Beautifully décorateur, a bathroom with 2 showers and a balcony. Breakfast by the pool or in the garden was lush, and dinner was also high quality, beautifully executed and delivered. I cannot recommend this place enough and will certainly go back there during a stay î Marrakech. I will finish with the service: spotless from start to finish. This place is a gem.”
“An absolute dream of a hotel that made us feel like we discovered an oasis in the centre of chaos. Lush grounds and opulent facilities, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Rooms were spacious and we really appreciated terraces overlooking the pool. We also had lunches and dinners here and it’d be a great meal experience for those who don’t stay at the hotel but want to experience its grounds. Management pays a lot of attention to every detail, from smells to little compliments, and the spa was incredibly relaxing.”
“Really dreamy property! So conveniently located in the city, but still a quiet respite from the chaos. Wonderfully attentive staff. Exceptionally clean, well manicured gardens, beautiful pool and seating areas outdoors. When I went it was 45C, so hard to enjoy being outside as much, but I can imagine it is very dreamy in spring or autumn. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the restaurants dinner. I tried it twice, and the second time I got sick and nauseated from the food unfortunately. The breakfasts, included in the hotel price, were lovely though.”
“Our stay at Dar Rhizlane was nothing short of magical and was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. A special shout-out to Abdul Samad, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Every interaction with him was warm, thoughtful, and genuine. He has a rare gift for making guests feel incredibly welcome, and his kindness left a lasting impression on us. We stayed in the Serail suite, and it was absolutely spectacular. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and filled with ornate Moroccan details that made it feel luxurious yet authentic. I was especially touched by the beautiful floral decorations the team arranged for my birthday—it was such a thoughtful surprise. The property itself is stunning. From the fragrant orange trees surrounding the pool to the lush palms swaying overhead, every corner feels like a peaceful oasis tucked away from the bustle of Marrakech. Both breakfast and dinner by the pool were highlights of our stay. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was serene, and every meal felt like a special occasion. The suite's large bathroom and oversized shower made it a wonderful place to unwind after long days of exploring. We also loved relaxing on our private balcony, taking in views of the terracotta buildings, vibrant bougainvillea, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Another thing we appreciated was the location. Dar Rhizlane is within comfortable walking distance of many of the wonderful restaurants, cafés, and banks in the Hivernage neighborhood, making it easy to enjoy a quieter, more upscale side of Marrakech while still being a short taxi ride from the Medina. Dar Rhizlane perfectly blends exceptional hospitality with timeless Moroccan elegance. Between the beautiful surroundings, outstanding service, thoughtful personal touches, and an ideal location, it became one of the most memorable stays of our trip. We would return in a heartbeat.”
“Great hotel in a lovely quiet place of town. Rooms are large and comfortable, however, they could use a coat of paint. In general the common areas and the service is on point. The restaurant area has a really nice vibe and the staff are friendly and helpful. Authentic and quiet, I would visit again.”
