Grand Hotel Son Net

5-Star Hotel

This magnificent old country house has been lovingly restored as a 5-star hotel, where luxurious modern accommodation contrasts beautifully with the historic building and its original features.

Parts of Grand Hotel Son Net date back to 1672, and great care has been taken to preserve the building's historic charm while adding stylish modern rooms and facilities.

The 30-metre outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by individual cabins for private relaxation, and the gourmet MAR&DUIX Restaurant adds an extra touch of luxury.

The spa is built in harmony with Mallorca's natural landscape. Its 1,000 square metres hold five treatment rooms, a fitness suite with Technogym equipment, a salt-treated indoor pool and a thermal area with a sauna, Turkish bath, cold plunge pool and ice fountain.

Its stone walls blend into the surroundings, while large windows look out over olive trees, rosemary and lavender.

The hotel enjoys a superb setting, surrounded by citrus orchards and lush gardens and overlooking the village of Puigpunyent and the mountains. It is well suited to a romantic or relaxing break, with relaxing treatments and pampering in the spa.

“This was one of the most incredible experiences at a hotel we have ever had. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional and it meant so much to us. From wonderful recommendations for meals and calas to visit, to offering attention at any time, they were wonderful! Christian, who was born and raised in Mallorca, knew all of the fabulous places to eat and visit. You can tell that he works with love and care from the heart. And Jeffrey was so warm and welcoming when we arrived. He showed us every inch of the property. But truly, everyone was stellar when it came to service! Also we enjoyed some of the best parties we’ve ever had! Our room was absolutely stunning - the decor of the hotel is fabulous. We cannot wait to come back. This was a 100/10 experience!”

“I cannot recommend this place enough. For context, we’ve stayed at multiple of the World’s 50 Best hotels and this one should absolutely be on the list. Staff were friendly & professional, the building is gorgeous and extremely well-designed. Our room was large, comfortable, and always clean. The grounds and dining areas are all fantastic, and the surrounding landscape is picturesque. Location-wise, it was exactly what we wanted, but I would recommend having a car. It took us ~30 min to Palma and 40+ minutes to the various villages and hikes along the west coast.”

“Our honeymoon at Grand Hotel Son Net was nothing short of incredible. Even with cloudy and rainy weather during our stay, the experience was absolutely unforgettable and exceeded every expectation we had. We were generously upgraded to a beautiful room, which made our honeymoon feel even more special. Every detail throughout the property reflected warmth, luxury, and thoughtful hospitality. The food and cocktails on site were phenomenal. The spa services were equally exceptional. One of the highlights of our trip was booking a private Yin yoga session. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. Laura greeted us every morning at breakfast with such warmth and kindness that it immediately brightened our day. Aaron gave us incredible local wine recommendations and even shared suggestions for our next honeymoon destination in Ibiza, which we loved. And Christian at the front desk went above and beyond in every possible way. He checked in on us multiple times throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect, and after overhearing me mention how much I loved the olive oil, he surprised us by gifting some for our travels home — such a thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget. This was one of the most memorable and meaningful travel experiences we’ve ever had, and we already cannot wait to return.”

“Exceptional stay start to finish. The property looks better in person than it does in the photos. Rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean. Pool are was perfect for relaxing and incredibly peaceful with great service, not to mention the impeccable views. The service staff are a credit to the Hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner they truly make your visit special. A special mention to Arron who is an excellent sommelier. We would highly recommend and will be returning.”

“Such a shame. An incredibly beautiful property with no lead management to provide the service it needs. On our first night our room had no working air conditioning. Despite us checking that it does before booking and at check in. Once we discovered it didn’t. We were met with a series of stumbles and lies before being offered another room a 5 minute drive away past midnight. The room was a sauna, however at that hour with our daughter already asleep. We dealt with it. No apology the next day either, in fact the front desk and senior staff just avoided making eye contact and tried to look busy. When I raised the issue, I was told there wasn’t a problem because it was fixed the next day also the manager was on their day off and they didnt want to contact them. Not the service a 5 star luxury property demands. This hotel needs one great manager that actually takes control and cares. With so many beautiful hotels on Mallorca. You’re best picking another option.”
