Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Set inside a 17th-century monastery in the middle of historic Palma, Convent de la Missio - Grand Luxury Boutique hotel, Adults Only is best for couples who want to see the city on foot and retreat somewhere calm afterwards; guests must be 16 or older. Original stone walls, vaulted ceilings and courtyards sit alongside contemporary design. Two pools, a spa and a sauna wait at the end of a sightseeing day, and the cathedral, boutiques and old-town lanes are all within walking distance. Breakfast is a genuine highlight. The central address has a flip side, though: rooms facing the street may pick up noise from nearby bars and passers-by.
Guests score it 9.2 out of 10 — the average across the 54 hotels we list on Mallorca is 9.1.
Featured in our guide: 12 Luxury Boutique Hotels in Mallorca: Selected and Ranked
- The building retains original stone walls, vaulted ceilings and courtyards from its origins as a 17th-century convent, blending monastic character with contemporary design throughout the guest rooms and communal spaces.
- As an adults-only property, the hotel offers a quieter, more intimate atmosphere, appealing to couples seeking calm after exploring the busy streets of Palma's old town.
- Families traveling with children will need to look elsewhere, as the adults-only policy, while appealing to couples, excludes younger travelers entirely.
- Private parking is available but limited in a dense old town setting, so guests arriving by car may want to reserve a spot in advance.

What guests say
Reviews from Google“An amazing place to stay in Palma. A stunning hotel in a converted convent that has retained an old charm about the place. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was incredible. We highly recommend the Michelin starred Mark Fosh restaurant in the hotel. Our room (a junior suite) was beautiful with a very comfortable bed, and overall a great size to feel at home. The pool area is lovely and perfect for some relaxation in the sun. I could not recommend this hotel enough. Thank you!”
“5 stars all around! Service was amazing. All the staff went above and beyond to make the experience memorable and help with anything and everything needed. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The location is central and easy to walk everywhere. If you’re looking for a hotel in Palma this it it! Will definitely be back.”
“Me and my sisters had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff took exceptional care of us—attentive and thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. The room was lovely, the breakfast outstanding, and the rooftop terrace with its pool was a true highlight. Perfectly located on a quiet street right in the heart of the city. Highly recommended! We already look forward to come back!”
“We stayed one night at Convent de la Missió in Palma, having also visited the hotel previously. Unfortunately, this stay left us with a significantly different impression compared to our earlier experience. Upon arrival, there was no assistance with luggage, and the overall welcome felt uncoordinated – not what one would expect from a five-star property. More concerning, however, was the handling of our valuables. As our room was not yet ready, we asked the hotel to store several personal items safely. These included watches and jewellery with an approximate value of €70,000. When we returned, these items had simply been placed openly in the room. This is, frankly, not acceptable and falls short of basic expectations regarding security and professionalism. The room itself was very small and offered almost no privacy, with windows directly facing those of the opposite building. This did not reflect our previous stay at the hotel. Although we were offered an upgrade, this came at a point where it was no longer practical. Breakfast the next morning was also below expectations, with several items not being replenished during our time. Following our stay, we shared our concerns with the management. While a partial discount was offered, it did not adequately reflect either the nature or the extent of the issues experienced. In addition, a previously agreed 5% rate adjustment was not reflected in the final invoice, which further contributed to the overall impression. Overall, this stay suggested a noticeable decline in attention to detail, service quality, and consistency compared to our previous visit.”
“I don't know how anyone could give this hotel less than 5*. The location is perfect. Central but quiet. The hotel is gorgeous, authentic and quiet. The food is fantastic. The amenities like breakfast, pool and spa are superb. But the staff are unbelievable. I must give mention to Johan who looked after us but all of the team are amazing. If you are looking to stay in Palma, stay here, it's amazing. We loved every second and couldn't recommend it more.”
