Tripplo’s hotel summary

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels

Ideal for travellers who appreciate custom-designed accommodations facing the marina. Guests can expect individually themed guest rooms, terrace views of the marina, and dining discounts at its two restaurants. However, because of its prime harbour-front location, there is potential noise from the bustling harbour, and nearby street parking is limited.

Set directly on Hvar's vibrant waterfront, Riva Marina Hvar Hotel combines a historic setting with individually themed boutique interiors. Its prime promenade location and terrace dining make it particularly well-suited for travelers who wish to be at the center of the island's coastal social scene.

Guests score it 9.6 out of 10 — the average across the 7 hotels we list on Hvar is 9.4.

  • Situated directly on the promenade in the center of Hvar, the hotel offers immediate walking access to the historic town and local ferry terminals.
  • Each air-conditioned room features a distinct design concept, departing from standard hotel layouts to offer a more personalized boutique experience.

“Amazing hotel! The location is perfect, everything is just a short walk away. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice, and the rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful, always happy to help with anything. We even got bottles of water before heading to the beach, and they stored our luggage after check-out so we could enjoy the rest of the day without carrying our bags around. It’s the little things like that that make a big difference. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Riva Marina - Hvar Hotel is truly a luxury hotel with an unbeatable location right on the water. Our room was a bit on the smaller side, but the bed was very comfortable. Having a balcony overlooking the water was a wonderful highlight. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They assisted us with booking reservations and made the experience feel very personal. The included continental breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, nuts, and fresh juices. One of the best parts of staying here is the access to their sister hotel, Adrianna, just a short walk down the street. Guests can use the spa facilities there, and it ended up being one of my favorite experiences of the entire trip. The spa was beautiful and a perfect way to relax. Overall, Riva Marina - Hvar Hotel offers a wonderful luxury experience.”

“Our stay at the Riva Marina was AMAZING! The location is fantastic only being steps away from the ferry. I can’t say enough about the staff. They were all so incredibly nice and helpful. Our luggage was lost in London so we were on day 4, 5 and 6 of no baggage. They offered to do our laundry and had it back to us the same day! The complimentary breakfast was made to order and was fantastic and they even made us a boxed breakfast to go on the day we left to catch our 6:25am ferry to Split. No doubt if we decide to come back to Hvar in the future, we would definitely rebook the Riva Marina!”

“This Hotel was incredible! First off, Milica Tomasevic was our favorite waitress at Bb Social Bar & Restaurant! She ended up guiding and helping us to navigate Hvar~the most beautiful place in the world! She is a star! If you stay at this beautiful boutique hotel, definitely ask for her services. Thank you for a memorable vacation! The sisters: Juliet Fennimore & Jill Wolfe”

“From the moment we stepped off the ferry at Hvar we knew we were in for great service: even though the hotel is about a 1 minute walk from the boat, there was someone waiting to greet us and carry our bags. This is a smart hotel, but with a very casual, welcoming atmosphere, right on the main quay in Hvar. Beautiful situation. It is very well maintained and presented and all the staff were excellent: friendly, smiley, helpful, and they really made us feel special. Our room had a view over the quay and it was fascinating to watch the comings and goings of the yachts: big and small. The double glazing was really excellent and we heard nothing from the quay when it was busy. We had breakfast outside, on the terrace - a delightful mix of buffet (great choice) and cooked. Great way to start the day. This was a wonderful short stay in a really excellent hotel with perfect service. Thank you team - we loved it!”
