Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Best for travellers seeking a quiet, eco-conscious retreat integrated with its natural surroundings. Guests benefit from private balconies with Adriatic views, an on-site organic kitchen garden, and secluded access to Maslinica Bay. However, the resort is situated a distance from Stari Grad centre, and some might find that its quiet atmosphere lacks evening energy.
Guests score it 9.3 out of 10 — the average across the 7 hotels we list on Hvar is 9.4.
- The resort utilizes natural timber and local stone to blend seamlessly into the Hvar landscape. This architectural approach ensures the structures complement the surrounding pine forests and ancient olive groves without disrupting the coastal silhouette.
- Every guest room is designed with a private outdoor terrace oriented toward the water. These spaces provide a personal vantage point for observing the maritime activity in the bay and the sunset over the Adriatic horizon.
- The property is situated approximately two kilometers from the historic heart of Stari Grad. While the resort provides bicycles and shuttles, those preferring to be in the center of the action may find the walk slightly inconvenient.
- The resort focuses heavily on wellness and tranquility, meaning there is very little organized nightlife or live entertainment. Travelers seeking a high-energy social scene will need to travel thirty minutes by car to reach Hvar Town.

Reviews from Google“Heaven on earth! From the minute we walked through the door, Batu was there to greet us and make us feel at home! Batu took us on a tour of the grounds and I was in heaven when I saw the garden ! The organic grounds are well manicured. The rooms are spacious and clean. There were E bikes for us to travel into town or they provide a ride if you prefer. We were able to meet the owner and her son at the beach bar opening. Everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel special The service is above and beyond. The food is amazing. The spa Service was exceptional. I enjoyed making my own tea concoction every morning from the dried out herbs in the garden. Batu and the staff could not have made this stay any better. If I could pick one place to visit every year, it would be this gem!! Thank you, Batu and staff for making us feel at home from the moment we walked in the door! Shout out to Maud for sharing her Vision of a mindful luxury resort. The experience was impeccable, and I felt the freedom to do whatever I want In the space of luxury! God be willing, we will be back with family and friends!”
“A special thank you to Batu, our Ambassador, who took such amazing care of me throughout my entire stay. His warmth, attention, and incredible service made the experience even more special. Maslina Resort was truly magical — I loved it so much I extended my stay another night! The rooms and views are stunning, the infinity pool is incredibly sexy, the sunsets are unforgettable, and the crystal-clear sea is absolute perfection. One of those places you simply don’t want to leave. I can’t wait to come back!”
“My wife and I had been dreaming of visiting Croatia for years, and this year we finally made it happen. While planning our trip through Dubrovnik, Hvar and Split, we expected beautiful scenery, amazing food, and unforgettable experiences...and Croatia absolutely delivered on all of it. But nothing compared to the moment we arrived in Hvar and checked into Maslina Resort. From the second we stepped onto the property, it was truly love at first sight. The atmosphere, the design, the breathtaking surroundings, and the peaceful energy of the resort completely captivated us. What made the experience even more special was the incredible hospitality. Every single member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked-out. The rooms and views were absolutely stunning, the food was exceptional, and the overall experience felt luxurious yet deeply relaxing at the same time. Out of our entire Croatia trip, our stay at Maslina was without question our favorite part. It left such a lasting impression on us that we already decided that we’ll be returning next September (2027). We simply couldn’t get enough of this beautiful place. Thank you, Maslina Resort, for creating memories we will cherish forever. 🇭🇷✨”

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff were outstanding—professional, attentive, friendly, and always ready to go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We felt truly cared for from the very first minute until our departure. The resort itself is breathtaking. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. The architecture is stunning, blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape while maintaining an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. The interior design is equally impressive, with beautiful materials, calming colors, and refined touches throughout the property. The rooms and common areas are immaculate and beautifully appointed, offering a sense of tranquility and exclusivity. Every corner of the resort reflects exceptional taste and attention to detail. The spa experience was absolutely amazing. The facilities are world-class, and the treatments were incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy complete serenity. Maslina Resort exceeded all our expectations in every way. The combination of extraordinary service, stunning architecture and design, luxurious amenities, and a truly peaceful atmosphere makes it a destination we will never forget. We highly recommend Maslina Resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable luxury getaway. We cannot wait to return.”
“Fabulous. No other words. Highly recommend. Great pool and spa. Panoramic view from our room was amazing. Our great experience started with Batu showing us around the property and what to expect. We did a couple of nights in Hvar port city and then came to Maslina to relax. Great combo. Stari Grad is close so easy to use the bikes from the hotel or take the hotel car into the city. Definitely the best hotel experience we had in Croatia.”
