Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 22 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Le Pavillon de la Reine & Spa, Place des Vosges is highly suitable for those seeking a secluded, romantic hideaway in the Marais on the historic Place des Vosges. It offers a private spa with Codage treatments and a secluded ivy-covered courtyard garden. However, there are limited dining options on-site, and the historic layout means room sizes vary.
Guests score it 8.9 out of 10 — the average across the 20 hotels we list in Paris is 9.2.
- Tucked away on one of Paris's most beautiful historic squares, the hotel offers direct access to the Marais district's galleries and boutiques while maintaining a peaceful, residential atmosphere.
- Finding secure parking in central Paris is notoriously difficult. The hotel provides rare, complimentary private parking on-site, which is a significant convenience for those arriving by car.
- While the hotel serves an excellent breakfast and light bites at the bar, there is no full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner. Fortunately, the surrounding Marais district is filled with exceptional dining options.
- Because the hotel occupies a historic 17th-century residence, some entry-level rooms can feel relatively compact. Guests requiring more generous space may want to book a junior suite or suite.

What guests say
Reviews from Google“Really lovely stay here. Unfortunately I only had about 24 hours in Paris, so it was a short one night stay, but pavillon de la reine made it a really lovely one. I arrived from the airport at around 11 am, and though my room was not yet ready, the gentleman at the desk shifted me to a different room so that it would be ready earlier than my originally assigned room. In the meantime, I was invited to make use of the spa, and I had a great shower which was a huge help after a very long flight. By the time I had lunch in the beautiful courtyard, my room was ready, several hours before typical check in time. SO nice. The rooms themselves are beautifully done, the service unobtrusive but attentive, and the courtyard was such a nice place to rest away from the hustle and bustle of the city and still with a distinctly Parisian vibe. Location is great, within a 30 minute walk to the Louvre, and the Marais is a fantastic neighborhood to stay in. I’m hoping to make another stop here the next time I’m in Paris! Would definitely recommend.”
“Our stay at Pavillon was such a delight. Incredible service and attention to detail. This trip was a celebration of my sister's 50th birthday and the staff at the hotel had a bouquet of flowers and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room on arrival. Daily breakfast was wonderful, and they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. We had a junior suite for 3 women and it had plenty of space. Daily turndown service and impeccable cleaning. Complimentary mini bar and Nespresso machine in the room. It's quiet as can be. Perfectly situated on the Place de Voges, right near all the best shopping in the Marais -- easily walkable to basically anywhere you'd want to go in the Marais. It's also directly around the corner from the "Instagram famous" restaurant, Chez Janou. HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It was really very special.”
“A lovely spot in a great location, walking distance from some beautiful cafes and restaurants including the iconic Carette. The little touches really set it apart, chocolates on arrival and at checkout, nightly turndown service, and a complimentary drink at the bar. The bar and lounge area was nice and cosy and has a good vibe. The staff were warm and attentive, and the spa and sauna are a sweet bonus. A perfect romantic escape, highly recommend it for a trip with your partner. Five stars from Australia! 🇦🇺”
“We visited during the current heatwave and were seated outside. After ordering a bottle of sparkling water and an Aperol Spritz, we waited approximately 45 minutes for the water, and only received it after one of us went inside to ask about our order. The Aperol arrived another 5–10 minutes later. Our charcuterie and cheese boards eventually arrived, but the quality was disappointing. The meat did not appear particularly fresh, and the cheese was already melting. The biggest issue, however, was the service. No one checked on our table throughout the meal. When we finally managed to flag someone down to order a second Aperol Spritz, it never arrived despite a further 45-minute wait. We eventually gave up and went inside to request the bill. Twice. To make matters worse, the bill included the second Aperol Spritz that we never received. We had to dispute the charge, and were initially asked whether we were sure we hadn’t been served the drink. What makes this especially frustrating is that the restaurant was not particularly busy. Waiting nearly an hour for water in 30°C weather, having to repeatedly chase staff for service, and then being charged for an item that never arrived is simply not acceptable at any level of dining. The staff themselves were polite, and the manager ultimately apologized and removed the food from our bill, which was appreciated and prevented this review from being even lower. Unfortunately, good intentions could not make up for an experience defined by excessive delays, poor attention to guests, and disappointing food quality. I left feeling that the restaurant’s standards fall well short of its reputation and pricing.”
“You walk in from the hectic Place des Voges into an oasis of lush beauty and calm! We went for an afternoon snack and drink and sat in the exquisite courtyard. The waitstaff and front staff were welcoming and delightful, but the gentleman in charge of the restaurant was not very pleasant! We went back again and everyone was lovely! They e recently renovated their indoor spaces which are romantic and fresh in pale pinks. A delight!”
