Le Meurice – Dorchester Collection

5-Star Hotel

Le Meurice stands on Rue de Rivoli in Paris's 1st arrondissement, directly opposite the Tuileries Garden. The Louvre and Place Vendôme are both within a five-minute walk.

The hotel has occupied this address since 1835 and has long been a meeting place for artists and thinkers. Salvador Dalí stayed for a month every year for some thirty years and received visitors each afternoon, a ritual that became part of the hotel's story.

Inside, grand salons with gilded detailing set a classical tone. The main restaurant's dining room is modelled on the Salon de la Paix at Versailles, while Philippe Starck designed the bar and restaurants with playful touches that pay homage to Dalí. Art is chosen with care, and the rooms pair 18th-century-style interiors with work from craft ateliers across France.

Spa Valmont offers Swiss treatments and has a private outdoor terrace. Breakfast features the hotel's own pastries, and rooms facing Rue de Rivoli have triple-glazed windows against traffic noise.

“I had my birthday breakfast at Le Meurice and I had the best experience. We were seated in the beautiful breakfast salon. Service team was caring, especially lovely Melissa made the whole experience so much better with her attention to detail, generosity and kindness. She even put a birthday candle on my plate which was very thoughtful. The food was very tasty and had great quality. I will definitely will be coming back again.”

“We stayed at this wonderful hotel again a couple of weekends ago, it is our go to hotel in Calais, and we visit on multiple occasions each year. Thierry, Melanie and all of Team Meurice always make our stay memorable, with their friendliness and exceptional standards of customer service. We stay in a superior room with shower and it is always spotlessly clean and well presented. The breakfast is very good at a fair price point, with plenty of options and choice, again always plentiful and well presented. The benefit of the optional underground paid parking is of importance to us, and there are electric charging points should you require it. The garden area at the back of the hotel is a lovely place to while away a couple of hours with a book and a drink, and the rear of hotel has recently been redecorated and looks fantastic. If you are considering a stop on the way elsewhere, a stop before returning to the UK, or just a weekend away in Calais, you should not look any further than the Meurice, you will not be disappointed. We can't recommend it highly enough. Tim and Leslie.. Nottingham”

“A truly unforgettable Paris experience. Le Meurice combines classic French elegance with exceptional service in one of the best locations in the city, directly across from the Tuileries Garden. Every detail feels refined, from the beautiful interiors to the attentive staff who make you feel welcome from arrival to departure. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable, and full of charm. Dining was outstanding, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is both sophisticated and relaxing. If you're looking for a true Parisian palace experience, Le Meurice exceeds expectations. Highly recommended and absolutely deserving of five stars.”

“A very pleasant stay at Le Meurice. The hotel is elegant, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located. The staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the room itself—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The size of the room was truly impressive and made the stay even more enjoyable. I also loved the breakfast, especially the French toast, which was absolutely delicious. While the experience met rather than exceeded my expectations, everything was delivered to a high standard. Thank you to the entire team for their hospitality. I would happily stay at Le Meurice again.”
