“I would highly recommend this hotel. Our stay was made extra special by all the staff who gave excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble. Anxhela, Boris along with others on reception were extremely helpful and were always on hand to help with any enquiries. We booked half board and the food was exceptional. They were really accommodating with allowing us to have dinner or lunch at the time we wanted. On some of the days we had booked trips and had to leave early before breakfast was being served. We were offered a packed lunch to take with us. I would like to thank the chef for preparing them, it was much appreciated. The facilities in the hotel were great, even giving you a clothes steamer in you room, which we found very useful. The location is fantastic with transport links to all tourist attractions. If you also love shopping like us, then this hotel is ideal. I cannot thank all the staff enough for making are stay in your wonderful hotel fantastic. Albania is truly a beautiful country and cannot wait to return again.”

“We had a really lovely stay here and honestly the service was the highlight for us. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, helpful, and just genuinely nice. You could tell the staff really care and make an effort to make you feel welcome. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and in a really convenient location, so everything was easy to get to. Overall, everything felt very smooth and relaxed thanks to the great service. We left feeling really well looked after and would definitely come back again.”

“I had a wonderful one-week stay at the Grand Duka Hotel and would happily return. It offers excellent value for money, with clean rooms, good food, and a lovely spa. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the staff and the exceptional service. Paola at reception was simply outstanding. She went above and beyond every single day, showing genuine kindness, offering thoughtful local tips, and making sure I was always comfortable. I even ran into her outside the hotel on her day off, and she still took the time to recommend places to visit. She never expected anything in return. She is one of the reasons I would love to come back. A big thank you as well to Bjorn, who was always warm, professional, and helpful with my bags. He even fixed the air conditioning in my room and always made sure everything was okay. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out. I’d also like to thank Matilda and the entire spa team, as well as Elisa in the restaurant. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made me feel genuinely cared for throughout my stay. A few small suggestions for improvement: as the hotel is still quite new, I hope the spa continues to be maintained to the same high standards. One jacuzzi jet wasn’t working properly, in the women’s room one shower head and the shower door could also be fixed. The spa floor can become slippery, so extra care for elderly guests would be appreciated. I also really appreciated that the hotel & Spa uses high-quality NUXE products. However, the aloe cream used during my massage seemed to be different, and unfortunately I had a skin reaction, so I decided not to book any further treatments. I also found the “relaxing” massage too firm for my personal preference and the room too cold although I understand that massage pressure and room temperature is subjective. Overall, these are only minor details and did not take away from what was an excellent experience. I highly recommend the Grand Duka Hotel and would happily stay here again. Five stars!”

“I had a wonderful stay at Grand Duka Spa and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Durrës. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very well looked after. The housekeeping team did an excellent job every day, and my room was always spotless and comfortable. What really made my stay special was the staff. Every member of the team was so friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with a smile. They made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Bjorni, Ola, Arsen, Alvi, Paola and Anxhela. Your kindness, warmth and genuine care made my holiday even more memorable. “Even though I didn’t enjoy Durres that much I must say that this hotel was worth the stay! The room was very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast and the hotel restaurant are very nice! The spa and the gym are great. The hotel staff is very reactive and welcoming”
