Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Das Reisch is made for guests who want to stay right in the middle of Kitzbühel. The family-run hotel is about 100 m from the centre, a few minutes' walk from the old town and about 400 m from the Hahnenkammbahn, so skiers walk to the lift and evenings in town need no car. Guests speak most warmly about the breakfast, which many rank among their favourites, the friendly staff and the renovated, individually designed rooms, and the sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin are included. The location has one clear downside: rooms at the front face The Londoner, a busy pub, and several guests heard it late into the night. There is no pool, coffee capsules beyond the first two cost extra, and garage spaces must be booked. In summer the golf courses and the Schwarzsee are close by. Skiers and couples who want a personal, central base will feel at home, especially in a room at the back.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 12 hotels we list in Kitzbühel is 9.0.
- The hotel is about 100 m from the centre and a short walk from the pedestrian streets, the train stop and the Hahnenkammbahn. Guests describe the location as ideal for restaurants, shopping and skiing.
- Breakfast is the most praised part of a stay. Guests highlight the fresh fruit, the vegetables and the eggs, and several call it the best hotel breakfast they have had.
- Rooms at the front face The Londoner, a busy pub, and several guests were kept awake by the noise. With the windows closed it is fine, and the hotel moved some guests to a quieter room.
- The room's coffee machine comes with only two capsules, and extras are charged. Massages, the sunbed and garage parking also cost extra.
