Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 22 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Visitors looking for dedicated spa facilities within walking distance of Diocletian’s Palace will find this four-star hotel highly suitable. It offers a comprehensive indoor spa, secure on-site parking, and a modern breakfast terrace. A potential drawback is its location within a residential neighbourhood, which leaves it slightly removed from the lively waterfront.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 6 hotels we list in Split is 9.3.
- The dedicated spa includes an indoor pool, Finnish and bio saunas, and a tepidarium, providing a quiet retreat from the city's busy coastal atmosphere.
- Finding accessible parking in Split can be difficult; this property provides dedicated spaces, making it a practical choice for those exploring the Dalmatian coast by car.
- The hotel is situated in a quieter residential area rather than the historic center, which offers peace but lacks the immediate charm of the old stone streets.
- While the walk to the harbor and Bačvice Beach is manageable, it takes about 15 minutes on foot, which may be less convenient during the peak summer heat.

Reviews from Google“May 2026 - The Time Hotel is well-located for walking into town. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, although the shower design led to water on the bathroom floor. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and spa, and the outdoor dining area. There's a nearby peacock family that liked to serenade us in the evenings, which was cool to hear. We appreciated the plentiful breakfast spread, including picking fresh mulberries from the tree outside. We enjoyed our stay.”
“I unfortunately can't comment on the hotel itself because I never stayed there. I accidentally made a duplicate booking and realised my mistake within minutes. I contacted the hotel immediately, well before check-in, to ask if they could make a goodwill exception. Despite the room still being available to resell and multiple polite requests, they refused to help and then stopped responding altogether. I understand that businesses have policies, but good customer service also involves using discretion when someone makes an honest mistake. Very disappointed with how this was handled.”
“Didn’t sleep at all thanks to bad soundproofing and no ear plugs offered when asked - due to a techno club directly opposite the hotel that blares loud music every night until the very early hours. This hotel is very aware of the situation but let customers have affected rooms without doing anything to help. This also affected my friends staying at the same time but in other rooms and I can confirm that it’s almost every night - for me it was a Monday. No apology by staff and no compensation provided at all, not even a simple gesture - I was simply told it’s not our problem. If you book here, there is a very high chance you will only get a couple hours sleep a night. I’ve no idea how there are so many positive reviews given the nature of the issue meaning it can’t just have affected us as a one off.”
“Nice little hotel...good breakfast but their indoor temp controlled pool was the best. Beat the heat of the city by a refreshing dip in the pool open until 10 at night.”
“Terribly costly for what one gets. Close to activity in Split, but one mile walk. Rooms are tiny. Staff are ok. Have practically no lobby so to say. Was difficult to get some food for vegitarians like us. Restaurant is active with very limited menu.”
