What guests say
Reviews from Google“We were so pleased with Hotel Castillo De Santa Catalina. The location, away from the busy sea front and a 40 minute walk (yep you don’t need to get a taxi) to the castle / east side of the old town is perfect for us because it’s peaceful but not too far from anything we needed. Bars and food down on the beach front is great value for money if you are vacating on a budget. The staff were all very help (I was pressuring them to get more sunbeds and realised later they suddenly had a rush of guests arriving) but they were visibly pleased when they had helped out. The swimming pool was small but enough for a swim back and forth so was a lovely treat. Thank you reception and the man at the porter pod who helped us with the chairs at the swimming pool. Thank you also to the friendly smiley porter who took us to our room. The room was clean, cool, all the things we needed, cleaning products, who wardrobes, safe, fridge, two sinks, gorgeous tiled bathroom plus our own roof top balcony. Thank you to the cleaning staff (sorry about the broken glass). Thank you to the restaurant staff, the waiters and waitresses and the kitchen staff who created wonderful quality food.”
“Hotel Castillo de Santa Catalina is easily one of the most romantic spots in Málaga, offering a unique mix of 17th-century history and total luxury. The views over the bay are breathtaking, especially from the terrace at sunset, and the gardens are incredibly charming with their quiet paths and Mediterranean atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful, blending classic Moorish architectural details like high ceilings and arches with really comfortable, modern furnishings. The restaurant is equally impressive—dining under the stars in the courtyard is a special experience, and the food is excellent. It’s a rare find that feels peaceful and private while still being close to the city center. Note, I would recommend having a car if you are staying at this hotel for an extended stay.”
“We only stayed for one night before our flight back home, and we wished it had been longer. The room was super comfortable (best bed we have slept on by far over the last couple of weeks), and the staff was incredible. We had an early morning flight, and Cristobal helped us walk our bags all the way to the main entrance so we could catch our uber. We really appreciated his help. Overall, just a lovely time. Next time we will stay longer!”
“We have found memories of our time in this wonderful hotel. The rooms were exceptional, as well as the courtyard where one can enjoy the outstanding breakfast. Friendly and professional staff. We will definitely visit again.”
“Spectacular views in a tranquil and peaceful environment 10 minutes from the city centre. Ideal retreat from the noise and bustle of Malaga.”
