“From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, elegant, and genuinely attentive. The service throughout our stay was outstanding: professional, discreet, and always thoughtful. Every member of the team made us feel cared for and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of charm and history, with a peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings. Our stay was truly memorable from beginning to end. A wonderful experience, and we would be very happy to return. Highly recommended.”

“We celebrated my birthday with a romantic dinner at Villa Igiea, and the evening began beautifully. Our reserved table had a stunning view of the sea and the garden, and even though we weren’t hotel guests, the staff kindly arranged parking for us. The food was excellent — the avocado purée with marinated watermelon was fresh and creative, the eggplant ravioli were incredibly tender, the filet was perfectly cooked, and the shared mini‑cake with pecorino ricotta and raspberries was a lovely finish. Champagne, rosé, and dessert wine paired wonderfully with each course. Live music added a charming touch. However, the service did not fully match the level of the cuisine. Three different staff members took our order, which created confusion, and the pasta was served before the starter. It was also very warm on the terrace; considering the season, some cooling solutions would make the experience more comfortable. Prices are high, and while the food justifies them, the service should be equally polished. The most disappointing moment came at the end: our change was handed to us inside the bill folder as a single banknote carelessly folded up like an accordion, which looked disrespectful when we opened it. We had already included a small tip in the total — despite the service being below expectations — so receiving change in that condition felt especially inappropriate.A beautiful place with excellent food and atmosphere, but the service needs refinement to truly match the setting.”

“Our stay at Villa Igiea was truly exceptional, but what made it particularly memorable was the people. Coming from the hospitality industry ourselves, we know that beautiful surroundings are only part of what makes a great hotel; it’s the genuine care, attention to detail, and warmth of the team that guests remember long after they leave. A very special thank you to Massimo, Rosanna, Francesca and Giovana at breakfast, who made every morning such a pleasure; Alicia by the pool for her wonderful attention and care; Pamela at Alicetta; and Benedetto at Florio Restaurant for the fantastic service. The team doesn’t wear name tags, so we actually made a point of asking for their names because we wanted to recognise them personally. We know how important it is for outstanding service to be acknowledged and these people absolutely deserve it. There is a level of effortless, intuitive service at Villa Igiea that is increasingly rare: attentive without being intrusive, warm without feeling rehearsed, and always with an eye for the smallest details. Thank you for making our time in Palermo so special. Villa Igiea is stunning, but its people are what truly make it unforgettable. With care. 🤍”

“Beautiful property, great views, service and food but it’s next to a shipyard - stayed at 2 different room types and it’s a pretty big difference so wouldn’t stay unless you are willing to upgrade (there’s also seemingly a pretty big range in terms of views so depends on luck). It is still a very nice hotel and it was a great time, but in this price bracket there are likely nicer places on the island”

“So we were walking down the street and wandered in to this incredible hotel and restaurant. The food was terrific. The service was quintessential Mediterranean. We had three smaller plates and were completely enthralled with the food. Anyone who can afford to stay here should. Amazing!!”
