Tripplo’s hotel summary

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels

Design-focused travellers seeking central coastal views will find Le Sirenuse highly suitable. This property features traditional Amalfi-style interior design and panoramic views of the Mediterranean. It offers a short walking distance to local beaches alongside fine dining and an oyster bar. On the downside, guests must navigate a steep vertical layout with stairs, and there is occasional visibility on the private balconies.

Le Sirenuse is a family-run hotel that preserves the historic charm of a private villa through its curated art and classic red facade. Situated in the heart of Positano, it is suited for travelers who appreciate high-end gastronomy and a refined, residential atmosphere overlooking the sea.

Guests score it 9.6 out of 10 — the average across the 18 hotels we list on Amalfi Coast is 9.5.

The 30-second verdict

  • Every guest room provides a direct view of the Mediterranean Sea and Positano’s iconic skyline, allowing for private observation of the coastline from sunrise to dusk.
  • The property features La Sponda restaurant, which focuses on regional ingredients, supplemented by an oyster bar that serves fresh seafood and champagne in a sophisticated outdoor setting.

“Le Sirenuse exceeded every expectation and is truly one of the finest hotels in the world. Every detail was flawless—from the stunning rooms and breathtaking views to the incredible food and impeccable service. The waitstaff at both breakfast and La Sponda were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every meal feel special. The concierge team went above and beyond, seamlessly arranging our private boat tour, transfers, beach club reservations, and every detail of our stay with such care and professionalism. The spa, pool, and fitness center were all exceptional, and the entire hotel feels effortlessly elegant while remaining warm and inviting. We made memories we’ll cherish forever, and I loved our stay so much that I’m already returning in September with my parents just to experience La Sponda again. Le Sirenuse is pure magic”

“Even if you’re only visiting for a drink, the bar at Le Sirenuse is an unforgettable experience. The views over Positano are simply breathtaking, creating one of the most beautiful settings for an aperitif. The staff are exceptionally friendly and professional, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed an excellent glass of Champagne while taking in the incredible scenery. It’s certainly a special occasion kind of place, but it’s absolutely worth it for the atmosphere, the service, and the spectacular views. A must-visit when in Positano.”

“All of the stories I have heard about Le Sirenuse are true. My brother and sister-in-law honeymooned at this property 15 years ago and they always keep talking about how magical it was. I just enjoyed an incredible 3 days at your property. Everyone at Le Sirenuse was so kind and made it very special. Whether it was the housekeepers, the restaurant servers, the beach club workers (Faisal is awesome!) or the staff working in the boutique, everyone was so kind. Also, having the opportunity to meet and converse with Carla and Antonio was truly a privilege. I’ve been blessed to have stayed at many 5-star properties across the world and I can count on 2-3 fingers the number of times I’ve met the owners of the property and have been able to talk with them. Their passion about Le Sirenuse and the new Sirenuse Mare Beach Club was palpable and I was happy that myself and my “Texas friends” had the chance to meet them on this trip. The food was amazing, the bed was amazing, the AirCon worked great (it was a little hot during my visit to Positano), the shower was great etc. The new Beach Club was also a treat. I enjoyed the hotel pool but the beach club was more relaxing and special; definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the amazing memories.”

“Everything during our stay was amazing. Maria in your reservations is so sweet & kind. She situated our rooms next to each other as we were visiting with our local family. Breakfast is always amazing. The care & attention by the warm and friendly staff is palpable. The tour by the gardener was a highlight of our stay. Our rooms were clean & it was extra special for my daughter as her birthday was celebrated with a cute cake in the room. A warm feeling of family is created in the care received while on property.”

“Our stay at Le Sirenuse was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family, with a level of warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. The property itself is the epitome of elegance: beautifully designed, impeccably maintained, and perfectly capturing the charm and sophistication of Positano. The breathtaking views are unlike any other, offering sweeping panoramas of Positano- simply unforgettable. Whether enjoying breakfast on the terrace, relaxing by the pool, or watching the sunset over the sea, every moment is magical. What truly sets Le Sirenuse apart is its outstanding service. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure that every detail is flawless, anticipating needs before they arise and creating an experience that feels both luxurious and deeply personal. Le Sirenuse is more than a historic family-owned hotel, it is a timeless expression of Italian elegance and hospitality. They deliver the perfect blend of breathtaking beauty, world-class service, and refined luxury. Le Sirenuse is not simply a place to stay, but a destination that creates lasting memories and leaves you longing to return. After experiencing the magic of Le Sirenuse, we can confidently say that it will be the only place we stay whenever we return to Positano.”
