J.K. Place Roma - The Leading Hotels of the World is a boutique hotel featuring Michele Bonan-designed interiors. Located ten minutes on foot from the Spanish Steps, it includes an à la carte breakfast. Note there are no pool or full spa facilities, and the compact property books out quickly.
Guests score it 9.6 out of 10 — the average across the 19 hotels we list in Rome is 9.2.
- Bonan's rosewood-and-velvet interiors set the tone throughout this boutique stay.
- The Via Monte d'Oro address puts both the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon within a ten-minute walk.
- This is a design townhouse, not a resort — wellness is limited to in-room treatments and a small fitness setup.
- With only a small number of rooms, the hotel fills up early in busy periods, so travellers with fixed dates should reserve well ahead.

What guests say
Reviews from Google“We had an exceptional stay at JK Place Roma. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and so well cared for — the service throughout our stay was warm, intuitive, and completely seamless. The property itself is beautifully designed: intimate, elegant, and incredibly well considered in every detail. It feels more like staying in a refined private residence than a hotel, which makes it a very special place to base yourself in Rome. The location is also excellent — central and walkable to many of the city’s main sights, yet the hotel itself feels calm and tucked away from the energy of the streets. What stood out most was the level of hospitality. The team strikes a perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, making everything feel effortless and personal without ever being intrusive. We would absolutely return and would highly recommend JK Place Roma to anyone looking for a refined, boutique luxury stay in Rome.”
“We came for breakfast. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and genuinely welcoming; the staff attentive and polished. Coffee arrived promptly and was excellent. The avocado toast, however, told a different story. The avocado was heavily marked with dark veins — the kind one would discard at home without hesitation. Aesthetically disappointing and unworthy of a hotel of this level. I admit I ate it, though largely out of curiosity. The French toast was good. At 8 a.m. the restaurant was quiet — perhaps a reflection of the hotel’s intimate 27-room scale. In any case, the kitchen and the service team should reconsider how such a dish leaves the pass and reaches a guest’s table. Out of appreciation for The Leading Hotels of the World, I am leaving three stars — and sincerely hope future guests are spared similar carelessness.”
“We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant thanks to Diego. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially with our baby. He made sure our baby’s food was prepared quickly and even customized it to our needs, which we truly appreciated. Throughout the meal, he constantly checked in and genuinely made us feel comfortable, always asking if there was anything else they could do for us. The level of care and service was excellent, and he helped us with everything we needed with kindness and professionalism.”
“Everything about JK Place is special. I read a review that stated it was like staying in someone’s private home and that’s exactly how you feel. We very much enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail is meticulous. Thank you JK Place for arranging our tours. We will return when we next visit Rome. We had a perfect stay!”
“Immaculately clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff genuinely wanted to help you have the best stay. Highly recommend!”
