Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Best for eco-conscious travellers prioritizing central locations and ancient-inspired wellness. Guests benefit from a central location near Piazza Venezia and restored historic palazzo architectural details. Drawbacks to consider include street noise in certain rooms and limited on-site parking.
Guests score it 9.2 out of 10 — the average across the 19 hotels we list in Rome is 9.2.
- Situated a short walk from the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, the hotel serves as a quiet refuge within Rome’s dense historic center, allowing for seamless exploration of major landmarks on foot.
- The spa incorporates traditional Roman bathing rituals, featuring a calidarium, tepidarium, and frigidarium that pay homage to the city's ancient history through a contemporary wellness lens.
- Due to its position in a protected historic zone, on-site parking is restricted. Guests arriving by car should coordinate with the concierge for valet services or nearby secure garage options.
- Given the bustling central location, some rooms facing the main thoroughfares may experience ambient city sounds during peak hours. Light sleepers might prefer requesting a room overlooking the quiet internal courtyard.

Reviews from Google“I came here for a spa day on my own, and I have to say—it was truly exceptional. As someone who travels extensively and has visited many of the world’s most renowned spas, this one ranks near the very top of my list. From the moment I arrived, the experience was flawless. Maddie and Serena at reception were warm, welcoming, and attentive. The treatments were outstanding—the hammam and massage were among the best I’ve experienced (I regret not remembering my therapists’ names because they were absolutely amazing). The thermal facilities were beautiful, impeccably maintained, and incredibly relaxing. What made the experience even more special was the staff. Everyone was gracious, professional, and genuinely kind. I also dined at the restaurant, where Andrea and Tarzano provided exceptional service and made me feel so well taken care of. If you’re visiting Rome, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. And even if you’re not a guest, treat yourself to a spa day and a meal at the restaurant—you won’t be disappointed. It was a truly memorable experience.”
“Opened in 2026 a brand new six senses hotel located in the center of Rome the building itself is stunning and inside you will see a lot of marble and beautiful decorations. The whole design is done with a feeling for aesthetics and love a lot of greenery. It's a pretty big hotel so the staff is good but not very personal. You cannot expect it. The rooms itself were well decorated and well furnished a little bit small but for Romy standards OK the breakfast was nice and what is the most stunning on the property is the rooftop where you can have good food with beautiful views on the monument of indepence and oversee the city and the roofs it's a very beautiful view at night. The restaurant on top had a good vibe, some live music and a very international crowd.”
“I stayed at Six Senses for a week, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make my stay perfect, and the level of service was outstanding. To me, true luxury is feeling at home, and that’s exactly how Six Senses made me feel throughout my stay. The restaurants, the spa, and every other facility were simply impeccable. You can clearly see the care, passion, and attention to detail that go into every aspect of the guest experience. I highly recommend Six Senses to anyone looking for an extraordinary stay. I can’t wait to come back.”
“Six senses Rome is by far and away the best hotel in Rome! From the moment you walk in every staff member makes you a priority. It feels like a sanctuary, peaceful, relaxing, and accommodating. The staff and management really do hospitality the right way. One of the managers Filippo went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional! Everything here was incredible, this is the best of the best and i can not recommend it enough.”
“Stayed at Six Senses Rome with mixed impressions. The staff is a real contrast — some are highly professional and attentive, while others seem quite inexperienced and not up to the standard you’d expect at this level. The room was noticeably small compared to other Six Senses properties, which was a bit disappointing given the brand’s usual reputation for spacious, luxurious design. On the positive side, the rooftop bar is a highlight — great atmosphere and definitely worth visiting. However, the main restaurant feels more like a canteen than a premium dining experience, lacking the ambiance and refinement you’d anticipate.”
