“My recent stay at HVF Villa Franca from April 26 to April 28 was nothing short of extraordinary—an experience that has set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in my travels. From the very moment of arrival to the final farewell, every detail was executed with care, precision, and genuine warmth. Each interaction—whether at the front desk, with the concierge, in the restaurants, on the rooftop, or through transportation services—reflected a level of attentiveness and professionalism that felt both effortless and deeply personal. Every staff member was not only highly capable, but sincerely present, kind, and dedicated to ensuring an unforgettable stay. Having experienced many high-end luxury hotels and resorts around the world, I can confidently say that HVF Villa Franca stands apart. It is not simply the stunning setting or refined amenities, but the people and the culture of service that create such a lasting impression. A particularly heartfelt thank you goes to Restaurant Manager Antonino, whose leadership and commitment to excellence truly defined our experience. During one evening, a reservation mix-up occurred due to a fully booked private event at Gold Sky Bar & Restaurant. Rather than allowing this to diminish our experience, Antonino went above and beyond in a way that left us completely speechless. He personally arranged for us to dine on a private terrace overlooking the breathtaking Amalfi coastline and Positano—arguably even more intimate and memorable than the original plan. He offered a sincere apology and, along with his team, delivered impeccable service throughout the evening. To our surprise and deep gratitude, the entire dinner was graciously offered by the hotel. This level of care, ownership, and generosity is exceptionally rare. It speaks volumes about the hotel’s philosophy and the pride each team member takes in their work. We left HVF Villa Franca not only with beautiful memories of Positano, but with a profound appreciation for what true hospitality feels like. I am incredibly grateful and already look forward to returning.”

“We have adored our stay here at HVF to celebrate our honeymoon. Staff is amazing. Room has a stunning view. And nothing beats the rooftop pool view. They have great shuttle transportation that makes it convenient to get around. And SO many options for other excursions. What a treat this place is!”

“We stayed at Villa Franca in Positano for our honeymoon, and after visiting nearly every iconic hotel across Italy and the South of France, nothing came close to this place. Antonio, the manager, greeted us personally upon arrival and went out of his way to help schedule different activities throughout our stay. One highlight was a complimentary mixology class they offered us — such a fun and unexpected touch. Between the exceptional service, the attention to detail, and the stunning setting in Positano, this hotel truly stood out. If we ever go back to Positano, it would only be to stay at this hotel again.”

“My stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing and fell well below the standards I expected from a luxury property. Upon arrival, we were told we had received an upgrade, but it was unclear what the upgrade actually was. While the room was beautiful, it did not appear larger or meaningfully different from what we had booked. From the start, the service felt uncomfortable. The bellhop made it very clear he expected a tip, and I later noticed gratuities being added to the room charges as well. We were also told laundry service would be complimentary, only to later be charged for it. Throughout the stay, there seemed to be a constant pattern of unexpected fees and charges. The restaurant experience was equally disappointing. I specifically asked about the dress code and was told only closed-toe shoes were required. Despite complying, my girlfriend and I were made to feel unwelcome, with staff repeatedly staring, pointing, and whispering throughout dinner. Even worse, one dish contained small rocks or hard debris that could easily have damaged a tooth. The air conditioning in our room barely functioned. Every night felt like sleeping in a sauna, and we often woke up needing cold showers just to get comfortable. For a hotel of this caliber, that is simply unacceptable. The checkout experience was the final straw. I explained multiple times that I had recently been issued a replacement credit card and that the active card was stored in my Apple Wallet. Despite this, staff repeatedly announced in front of my girlfriend that my card was being declined and even implied there were insufficient funds. After nearly ten minutes of unnecessary embarrassment—including a call to JPMorgan Chase confirming the card situation—they finally processed payment through Apple Pay, which worked immediately. To make matters worse, the final bill appeared to be approximately €1,000–€1,500 higher than expected, and I later discovered that online rates were lower than the rate I was paying. I spent considerable time throughout Italy and encountered wonderful hospitality almost everywhere. Unfortunately, the staff at this hotel were by far the rudest and least accommodating people I encountered during my trip. The property itself may be beautiful, but luxury hospitality is defined by service, and that was severely lacking throughout my stay. I would appreciate a review of these issues and a meaningful response from management. Since I cannot respond. Show me where I signed this document for the laundry. Decorative or not the stones are hazardous as you can bite them. The dress code was not made clear as that and my shorts were very nice. Regardless I still changed. The card situation you heard JP MORGAN ON THE PHONE. It’s the palladium card..do some research 😉. Also, I didn’t have time to bring these things up as I had to get to Naples.”
