Tripplo’s hotel summary

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels

Beach lovers and heritage enthusiasts will find this 1920s property a convenient base in Split. The hotel stands out for its direct access to sandy Bačvice Beach, tranquil garden terrace, and secure private parking. However, the compact size of the outdoor pool may disappoint some, and the nearby beach becomes busy during the summer months.

Positioned alongside the shores of Bačvice Beach, Hotel Park Split masterfully blends 1920s grandeur with modern Mediterranean luxury. Its manicured gardens, upscale dining, and historic character offer a refined retreat just a short walk from Diocletian's Palace. It is exceptionally well-suited for travelers seeking classic European elegance alongside convenient coastal access.

Guests score it 9.3 out of 10 — the average across the 6 hotels we list in Split is 9.3.

  • Located just steps from Split's popular sandy beach, the hotel allows guests to transition seamlessly from urban sightseeing to seaside relaxation without needing transport.
  • Dating back to 1921, the property retains its historic grandeur with refined Art Deco touches, offering a sophisticated sense of place that modern luxury hotels often lack.

“We had an excellent stay at the Park Hotel Split. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The executive room was amazing and comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. This thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated and contributed to an unforgettable experience. A sincere thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality and excellent service throughout our stay. We highly recommend Park Hotel Split.”

“We had the most incredible stay at Hotel Park - it was our favorite of all accommodations during our recent trip. The property is well located to the beach and the old town area, so very easy to get around by foot. The pool is also fairly small yet somehow has plenty of room for guests. Our rooms were also a bit small but very comfortable and the balcony overlooking the ocean was a great perk. Overall, however, the thing that made this stay most superior was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered was welcoming, kind, and gracious. We all agreed that we wished we had a longer stay and cannot wait to return.”

“We stayed at Hotel Park in Split and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is comfortable and well located, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The style is traditional with some modern aspects. We would probably have stayed at the Ambassador (which is more our personal style), but we booked our holiday late and the price difference was too much to justify. Breakfast offers a wide choice, but we found the quality of some of the hot food to be fairly average compared to other hotels in this category. One big issue for us was sunbed availability around the pool. The pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but it is very small and loungers were often occupied from late morning until late afternoon, making it difficult to enjoy the facilities after a day exploring Split. Although we don’t ever really use minibars, we noted that the prices were high, even by 5-star hotel standards. That said we enjoyed our stay and would happily return to this hotel should we need to. Our room was large and comfortable, although the air conditioning was noisy.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Park Split. The hotel has a calm and elegant atmosphere, perfectly located close to the beach and only a short walk from the old town. Our room was very comfortable, with a great bed, a spacious bathroom, and a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and very good quality. What made the biggest difference for us was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful, and a special thank you goes to Nena. Her warm, cheerful, and refreshing way of welcoming guests every morning really stayed with us. It is people like her who make a hotel feel truly special and personal. We felt very welcome throughout our stay and would happily come back again.”

“Really felt a warm welcome as soon as I arrived today. I was welcomed and helped with my bag as soon as I stept out of my uber. The rooms are super accommodating and the staff is lovely. Would recommend!”
