Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 22 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla suits visitors who want central Santa Cruz convenience, offering rooftop cathedral views and complimentary daily afternoon tea within a restored nineteenth-century mansion. It features an outdoor swimming pool, though travellers must contend with snug dimensions in standard rooms and the lack of direct vehicle drop-off access.
Guests score it 9.0 out of 10 — the average across the 8 hotels we list in Seville is 9.2.
- The rooftop terrace features a plunge pool offering panoramic views of Seville Cathedral and the Giralda tower, providing a quiet retreat from the bustling streets below.
- Set in a former palatial residence, the hotel preserves historic elements like hand-carved wood doors, exposed brickwork, and a central columned courtyard.
- Some of the standard guest rooms can feel snug, particularly when traveling with large luggage. Upgrading to a deluxe room or suite offers more generous layouts.
- Due to the narrow, pedestrianized streets of the Santa Cruz district, taxis cannot drop guests off directly at the door. A short walk with luggage is required.

Reviews from Google“I had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The hotel itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. All of the main attractions are within walking distance, and there are countless restaurants and bars nearby, while other areas of Seville can easily be reached on foot within 20 minutes. I treated myself to a room with a balcony and it was one of the highlights of my stay. I enjoyed breakfast there every morning, which was made even better by the fact that guests who have breakfast included can take it to their room rather than having to sit in the cafeteria. Another lovely touch was the complimentary afternoon tea served each day between around 4pm and 6pm. Guests could enjoy sandwiches, cakes and drinks free of charge, which was such a thoughtful addition. The rooftop views are stunning, with beautiful views of the Cathedral and La Giralda – a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Every member of the front-of-house team I encountered was welcoming, kind, cheerful and always happy to answer questions or help in any way they could. Their warmth and professionalism made me feel genuinely looked after. A beautiful hotel in a perfect location with exceptional staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend it.”
“What a great hotel in a perfect location! I would stay here again and again. The location perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have water available in the heat, which we found not all Spain hotels offer. Our room was beautiful, I just wish we could have figured out how to work the thermostat, as it was very cold. We used the robes as an extra layer for sleeping, and appreciated those and the slippers very much. This was our first Spanish hotel, and we stayed in three more this trip in other cities, and this was far and away the best stay we had. It's the only one I would return to. So easy to walk almost anywhere, but a quick taxi ride was available in moments for those longer distances. Great food steps away. Incredible in every way. Thanks to everyone!”
“Casa 1800 began charming us before we had even arrived. A room upgrade, a free airport transfer, and a welcoming bottle of champagne suggested that these people understood the finer points of hospitality. Our room was beautiful, and the private hot tub overlooking La Giralda became one of those small luxuries that quickly feels indispensable after a day wandering Sevilla's streets. The rooftop pool provided a similarly civilised refuge above the city. The location could hardly be better. Step outside and Sevilla unfolds before you. Indeed, the liveliest tapas bar we encountered during our stay sat on the hotel's doorstep. It was perpetually busy, filled with locals and visitors alike. We sampled numerous establishments across the city, yet somehow found ourselves returning here time and time again. The waiters possessed that wonderfully Andalusian talent for appearing faintly irritated by your presence while simultaneously serving excellent food. One quickly learns not to take it personally. The hotel's own staff, on the other hand, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Like a well-made wine, Casa 1800 Sevilla is beautifully balanced. There is luxury here, certainly, but it is delivered with warmth and charm rather than ostentation. We left with the feeling that we should have stayed a few days longer.”
“Let's start with location: it is MAGNIFICENT! It's closed to restaurants, the Real Alcazar, the Cathedral, amazing! Please note that if you have a car, park in either of the recommended parking lots of the hotel. We parked on the one they offer a discount from teh hotel, and it's completely worth it! The rooms: Beautiful rooms! We were traveling with little ones and they even had little slippers for the little ones (smaller than the adult ones). Such a cute detail! And the robes... these are spectacular and soft and cozy! The pool/terrace area. It has a decent size pool, not too big, not too small, just right! The view is wonderful! Doesn't matter if you go in the morning, afternoon, to see the sunset (recommended!), it's gorgeous! If you are gpoing into the pool, make sure there are enough towels or brag yours if it's 2 hrs before the closure. Sometimes they ran out and I recommend asking for these as soon as you notice there are not enough.”
“We had a very good experience at the Casa 1800. The room was well laid out and functional with a nice spacious bathroom with lots of storage space. Beds were comfortable and room makeup was faultless. The rooftop pool and loungers was a very welcoming feature of the hotel, as was the complimentary afternoon tea. Would not hesitate to stay again. Did not enjoy the cooling cycle of the AC being switched off at nighttime and had to manually request it be switched on every day.”
