Tripplo’s hotel summary

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 22 October 2026 · How we review hotels

This hotel is best for visitors prioritising beachside relaxation within walking distance of a historic coastal town. Key features include direct access to a private sandy beach, panoramic sea views from guest rooms, and a full-service wellness spa with an outdoor pool. Travellers also enjoy complimentary private on-site parking. On the downside, the interior decor leans heavily toward a traditional aesthetic, and the property is located a short walk away from the historic centre.

Situated on the coast of northern Sicily, Cefalù Sea Palace combines modern seaside relaxation with proximity to a historic medieval town. The property features spacious rooms, a refined restaurant, and extensive wellness facilities, making it well-suited for travelers seeking a classic beach holiday. Its position offers a peaceful retreat while keeping the sights of Cefalù within easy walking distance.

Guests score it 8.5 out of 10 — the average across the 13 hotels we list on Sicily is 9.0.

  • Guests can transition directly from the hotel to a serviced stretch of beach with dedicated loungers, bypassing the busier public shores of Cefalù.

“Nice hotel, nicely maintained building and location is fine (busy touristic street so it is understandable that parking there is kinda difficult, even though they have their own parking lot up a tiny hill). Breakfast is okay, but nothing too special. Swimming pool is nice and they have their own beach that they share with another hotel. The bad part: service. Poah. I have never seen such a bad service in my life. Even though they sell themselves as a 5 star hotel, it is really bad. No help, no friendly staff. Prices are through the roof if you want to order something (!!!€7!!! for a small coffee Americano), and if you decide to buy something in the local supermarket, they get really upset. We had a bottle of cola and a package of chips in the roof and the hotel decides not to give you new towels for days... They are childish and no fun. If the service is not important to you; this hotel is nearly ideal if you visit cefalu. If service is a little important for you: pick a different hotel.”

“Lovely hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Great sized pool with plenty of sun loungers. Unfortunately, the bedroom let it down. Comfy bed, but bedside wall lights too far away from bed so unable to read. Against the wall opposite the bed, was a very large table with a centre drawer and stool which would be great as a dressing table, but unfortunately there was no mirror. There was a full length mirror in the room, but no socket to plug in hairdryer or hair tongs. Had to use one on the opposite wall which was inconvenient as flex trailed across the floor and had to keep reminding my husband not to trip over it on his was to the bathroom! A few tweaks and this hotel would reach its five star rating.”

“Large and comfortable rooms, beautiful view from the top floor, where the breakfast was served the 2nd day of our stay (first week of May). The pool is not heated, so it was fairly cold in May (same as the sea). The hotel's private beach are opens in June, but we could use the public beach in front of the hotels, just accross the street, the sea was still cold on early May. Our balcony had partial sea view (and partial parking lot view), but on the plus side we could watch the sunset from the balcony. I highly recommend this hotel, it was a good choice for us, I would definitely return here.”

“Great hotel and location. We stayed early June and the weather was great, mid to high 20s the whole time. Hotel is well located, just a short walk to town and not too far to the train station. Staff were always helpful. Good variety of options at breakfast. Private section on the beach was fantastic, always plenty of sun loungers while we were there. Toilets too if you don't want to head back to the hotel. Drinks were a little pricey but to be expected.”
