Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel - A Leading Hotel of the World is best for urban travellers seeking a central base. The hotel stands out for its rooftop terrace overlooking the Baie des Anges, its position near the Albert I gardens, and partner private beach access. The primary drawbacks are the noise from its high-traffic street location and premium pricing on seasonal dining.
Guests score it 8.7 out of 10 — the average across the 8 hotels we list in Nice is 9.2.
- The SEEN rooftop bar and restaurant offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city skyline, providing a sophisticated setting for evening cocktails and contemporary dining.
- Situated facing the Albert I gardens, the hotel sits a short walk from the Promenade des Anglais and Nice's historic old town, making exploration highly convenient.
- Dining at the rooftop venue can be quite costly during peak season, though several excellent local bistros are within walking distance in the nearby old town.
- Its central position near major thoroughfares means some street noise can be heard from lower-level street-facing rooms, though double-glazing mitigates this significantly.

What guests say
Reviews from Google“Lovely hotel. Location is great because you can still see the water but you are a block off the high traffic street. Close to all shopping and restaurants. Rooms are huge with beautiful big balconies. Customer service is exceptional. Some constructive feedback, 1.the only place to eat or get a drink is their rooftop. However, the uncovered (non restaurant) party of the rooftop is often closed and you aren't allowed to get a drink inside and take it out there. There is no lobby bar either. 2. Our room was on the 5th floor below the restaurant. At all hours, including 5am, you could hear the chairs being dragged across the floor. 3. There is no pool so they give you beach access at a cute restaurant. However you have to pay $45pp to go. For the nightly price of these rooms, it feels like that could be included 4. The gym is very small for a hotel this size”
“My wife and I had a 3 day stop in Nice as part of the conclusion of a Viking River cruise on the Rhône. Viking made the arrangements for the hotel and it was an outstanding option. The room was spacious and comfortable and our guest services interactions were top notch. We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning and it was awesome! Best brunch we’ve ever had. Viking has a deserved great reputation for its food, but this breakfast was amazing. We did not have lunch or dinner at the restaurant. The hosts and servers were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Anantara!”
“This is the second year I have stayed at the Anantara in Nice. The hotel property is gorgeous, the staff are excellent and the restaurants deliver amazing food with extraordinary service. Our housekeeping staff kept our room immaculate, Astou was the primary housekeeper. She had a lovely personality and ensured that the room was tidy and it was stocked with water and toiletries. Julien was our server in the restaurant every morning. He was professional, enthusiastic and motivated to make our experience special. The hotel knew it was my birthday and the front desk team delivered a nice surprise to the room which was a delightful touch I highly recommend the Anantara in Nice and look forward to going there again next year.”
“As returning guests, it is always a pleasure to come back to this wonderful hotel. From the very moment you approach the property, you are greeted by a sense of elegance, quality, and attention to detail. The stylish surroundings, immaculate facilities, and professional welcome create an outstanding first impression. The level of service is exceptional throughout the entire stay. The staff are attentive, genuinely friendly, and make every guest feel welcome and well cared for. It is clear that the hotel places great emphasis on quality and the overall guest experience, which is one of the many reasons we gladly return time and time again. A very special thank you and heartfelt recognition goes to Elina at breakfast. Her service, positivity, and dedication are truly exceptional. With her warm personality, genuine kindness, and unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction, she makes every morning a wonderful start to the day. Her positive energy and sincere care for guests create an atmosphere that is both welcoming and memorable. Team members like Elina are a tremendous asset and a perfect example of what outstanding hospitality should be. In summary, this hotel combines elegance, exceptional service, and genuine hospitality in the very best way. Once again, we leave with the same positive feeling we always have and are already looking forward to our next visit.”
“We stopped by for some drinks during the day, and our waiter, Franck, made our experience absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly bright, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. His exceptional hospitality and warm energy completely uplifted our day. If you’re visiting, definitely look for Franck—he provides the best service! Thank you so much, Franck!”
