Central Protaras & Fig Tree Bay
Best for First-time visitorsThis vibrant beachfront hub is centred around the shallow waters of Fig Tree Bay and Sunrise Beach. It offers an abundance of restaurants, bars, and direct access to coastal boardwalks.
Pernera
Best for Families and quiet retreatsSituated just north of the busy resort centre, Pernera offers a more relaxed atmosphere with several small, sandy coves. The area is well-connected to central Protaras via a scenic coastal pedestrian path.
Cape Greco
Best for Nature and scenic viewsLocated on the southern edge of Protaras, this area is characterised by rugged cliffs, sea caves, and the picturesque Konnos Bay beach. It provides a peaceful setting surrounded by a protected national forest park.
Areas to consider
Those wanting direct beach access should avoid inland properties situated uphill from the main avenue, as walking down to the shore involves navigating busy roads.

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) the properties listed above were measured against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google — weighted by how many reviews sit behind them — five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a genuinely first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own — when the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
