Avsallar and Okurcalar
Best for Beach resort holidaysLocated between 20 and 30 kilometres west of central Alanya, these neighbouring coastal districts are known for their sandy beaches and large, self-contained resorts. The area offers a self-sufficient holiday experience with direct sea access away from the busy city centre.
Oba
Best for Families and central accessSituated just east of the main city, Oba is a developed suburb that balances beach access with local shops, weekly markets, and restaurants. It provides a relaxed residential atmosphere while remaining within easy reach of Alanya's historic harbour.
Kargıcak
Best for Quiet hillside retreatsPositioned on the easternmost edge of the Alanya municipality, Kargıcak is characterised by its dramatic mountain backdrops and modern residential developments. It offers a quieter, more secluded environment compared to the central resort strips.
Areas to consider
Travellers wishing to frequently visit Alanya's historic castle and harbour may find properties in far-flung districts like Okurcalar or Kargıcak inconvenient due to the lengthy travel times.

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) the properties listed above were measured against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google — weighted by how many reviews sit behind them — five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a genuinely first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own — when the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
