Tripplo’s hotel summary

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels

Radisson Blu Resort Gran Canaria suits families and couples who want sea views from their own balcony, plenty of pool time and an easy walk to Anfi del Mar. Guests often praise the friendly staff, the gardens above the sea and the spacious sea-view rooms. However, parts of the hotel are showing their age, many find the beds too soft and the buffet limited, and the connecting doors between some rooms let noise through.

Set into the hillside above Patalavaca beach on Gran Canaria's sunny south-west coast, this five-star resort is built in terraces so that most rooms look straight out to sea from a large balcony. Two outdoor pools, one with salt water, a spa and a kids' club make it an easy choice for couples and families alike. Anfi del Mar and the beaches of Patalavaca are a short walk along the seafront, while Puerto Rico and Arguineguín are a few minutes away by car.

Guests score it 9.0 out of 10 — the average across the 29 hotels we list on Gran Canaria is 8.8.

  • The resort is built in terraces down the slope, so most rooms and suites have a large balcony facing the Atlantic. Some premium rooms also have a private outdoor hot tub.
  • The pool area sits in gardens above the sea, with a saltwater pool, a second outdoor pool, children's pools and plenty of sunbeds and parasols.
