Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Portes Beach Hotel is a family-friendly all-inclusive hotel on the beach in Nea Potidea, where the Kassandra peninsula begins. Its 183 rooms sit in green Mediterranean gardens, and the package covers three meals a day and local drinks at the bars until midnight. Guests speak most warmly about the staff, the cleanliness and the food, and families value the kids' club, the mini disco and the daily activities. The main reservation concerns the beach. It is right in front of the hotel, but several guests found it narrow, sloping and rocky underfoot. A few small details also fall short of four-star expectations, such as the lack of a coffee maker in the room, poor lighting and machine coffee at breakfast, and parking can be hard to find. Families who want an easy, well-run holiday with good food will be happy here; those who dream of a wide sandy beach should look elsewhere on Kassandra.
Guests score it 9.0 out of 10 — the average across the 16 hotels we list on Halkidiki is 9.2.

- The staff are what guests mention most, from reception and housekeeping to the waiters and bartenders. They are described as friendly, professional and quick to help, whether by booking a hire car and boat trips or by organising a surprise birthday cake.
- Guests describe the hotel as very clean indoors and out, and many single out the gardens, full of Mediterranean plants, which make the resort feel like a small, green neighbourhood of buildings and villas.
- Although the hotel sits right on the beach, several guests found it narrow and sloping, with large rocks in the water, and felt the beach area deserves more attention.
- Some guests missed a kettle or coffee maker in the room, found the lighting poor or the bed too bouncy, and wished for proper espresso at breakfast instead of the machine coffee. The wifi was also patchy at the beach.
