Montesol Experimental Ibiza sits on Passeig de Vara de Rey in the heart of Ibiza Town, at the foot of Dalt Vila, the UNESCO-listed old town. The hotel first opened in 1933 and occupies a neo-colonial building with 33 rooms and suites, redesigned by Dorothée Meilichzon in cool whites and pastel yellows and pinks with celestial touches.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant and on the outdoor terrace facing Vara de Rey, while the rooftop cocktail bar looks out over Dalt Vila and the marina.
Each bright, air-conditioned room has a wardrobe, a desk and a safe.
Shops, restaurants and bars are a few metres from the hotel. Ibiza Harbour is a few steps away, and the pier where scheduled ferries to Formentera leave is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is open all year.

Guests score it 8.9 out of 10 — the average across the 13 hotels we list on Ibiza is 8.9.
- The rooftop offers panoramic views over the UNESCO-protected Dalt Vila, a vantage point that captures the layered rooftops and fortress walls of Ibiza's oldest quarter.
- Rooms are designed by Dorothée Meilichzon in cool whites and pastel yellows and pinks with celestial motifs, giving the property a distinct visual identity beyond standard hotel décor.
- With just 33 rooms, the hotel can book up quickly during peak season, so early reservations are advisable for travelers with fixed dates.
- Its central position, while convenient, sits close to bars and pedestrian traffic, so light sleepers may notice ambient noise, particularly on warmer nights with open windows.
