Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 21 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Beach lovers seeking multiple swimming options will appreciate this five-star hotel. Standout features include direct access to Vasilias Beach, multiple seawater swimming pools, and four on-site restaurants alongside an expansive spa. Visitors should be aware that there are limited walking routes nearby, and the pool areas can get crowded.
Guests score it 9.0 out of 10 — the average across the 4 hotels we list on Skiathos is 9.2.
- Guests can step directly from the resort grounds onto the soft sands of Vasilias Beach, making it easy to transition between sea swimming and hotel amenities.
- The resort features two distinct saltwater pools and a dedicated children's pool, offering refreshing, low-chlorine swimming options surrounded by manicured gardens.
- The resort's seaside location means walking to neighboring towns can be challenging. Guests may need to rely on water taxis or local car rentals to explore further.
- During peak summer months, the main pool deck can feel busy. Seeking out the quieter beach area or visiting the pools early in the morning offers a more serene experience.

Reviews from Google“★★★★★ Without a doubt, the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Greece. This was our first time visiting Skiathos, and Kassandra Bay Hotel & Resort made it an absolutely brilliant experience. The location is perfect. You have regular coaches into Skiathos Town, but the water taxi is by far the best way to get there. Being right on the coast with the water taxi available, I honestly don’t think the location could get any better. What really stood out, though, was the staff. I’ve not stayed at a hotel in years where every member of staff has been so genuinely friendly and welcoming. Everyone was super friendly throughout our stay. A particular mention has to go to the hotel manager, who is always visible and present around reception — it really gives the hotel a great atmosphere and shows how involved he is. The lifeguards were also incredibly friendly and always happy to help. The food was excellent, the rooms were spotless, the cleaning was brilliant, and the views from the rooms were simply perfect. Everything about the hotel felt well looked after. We absolutely loved our stay and would have no hesitation in returning. For our first visit to Skiathos, we really couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Without question, the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Greece.”
“I have just returned from a weeks stay celebrating my mums 70th. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. The staff are all so lovely and helpful, Stefonos the hotel manager went above and beyond. The hotel is in a perfect location as it’s a 5 min taxi (10€) to town, or you can get the bus. The beach is right at the hotel and the water is crystal clear. A lot of other hotels in the area look lovely but all up steep hills and across the road from the beach. We also used the spa for pedicures and had a wonderful experience with Kostantina. We have already booked our next stay!”
“Great place - we've been enjoying peaceful, early morning swims at the private beach. The pool bar is amazing, stocked with every spirit you could think of, staff are attentive and friendly. The hotel has a bus stop literally right outside to get to town or to the koukanairies beach. So glad we found this place!”
“A very nice hotel with great views, quiet location, amazing breakfast, and some small room for improvement on certain services. Reception and check in was fast and welcoming and we got settled right away. A drink and sweet treat was there upon arriving at the reception. The pool was nice but had many children, so we preferred the beach, which has free sunbeds for the hotel guests, and was very nice with plenty of snack options to order from the pool bar. It’s not a very big beach, compared to others, but was very relaxing and having sunbeds right underneath the hotel grounds is very convenient. Beach towels are provided and they have a policy so people do not “reserve” sunbeds with towels from very early in the morning and the staff removes them if people don’t show up, which is fair. The beach is encircled by green scenery which is beautiful and there is a ferry boat right next to the beach which goes to Skiathos town and back plenty of times during the day and early evening, and is very convenient! The breakfast is amongst the BEST I have encountered in Greek 5 star hotels, with plenty of options and huge variety, and for people with dietary restrictions as well. There were different alternatives for some dishes every 1-2 days and everything was always fresh and tasty. The room service on the other hand (regarding both service, speed and food quality) was not up to the standards of a 5 star hotel and was very contradictory to the breakfast buffet. It arrived late, cold, with something we asked for missing, no salt / pepper, no bread, no olive pile / vinegar for the salad, or anything else other than our ordered dishes on the tray. the salad had no olive oil whatsoever, which I have never encountered before, so we had to ask for some and bring the guys back twice to bring things that were forgotten or missing, which we felt bad doing. There is room for improvement there. The room was very nice, spacious and clean with a very nice view towards the garden and the bay and a very relaxing atmosphere. They have an adults only section as well, if you ask for it and find a room there. We didn’t, because we booked last minute, but it is a nice option to have. The days we were there we noticed some heavy vibes all around, even though everyone was trying to be kind and accommodating and I can’t quite pinpoint the reason, but it got through to us. We also tried the spa for massages and we loved both the people there, the space and the whole experience. Totally recommend it if this is your thing. It’s generally a good choice, if you are looking for a hotel in a quiet area with its own beach access, and amazing breakfast, with small room for optimisation in some areas that can be easily improved and will create a truly 5star hospitality experience. Thank you for a pleasant stay 🙏”
“It was a tremendous experience! What can i say, the sea view was marvelous, the retaurants menus were delicious, the pools were very well maintained, the personel was friendly and the manager Stefanos was so helpful that when we forgot something he was managed to sent it back to Germany. Perfect!!!”
