Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Ella Elissa is a resort for couples who want an easy, all-inclusive holiday in a grown-up setting. It is adults-only for guests aged 16 and over, set at Kallithea on the east coast of Rhodes, with sea-view rooms, some with private pools, a large number of pools, a private beach area, a spa and four restaurants, all on an ultra all-inclusive basis. Guests speak most warmly about the service, the à la carte restaurants, the cocktails and how clean and beautiful the resort is. The trade-offs come with its size. The resort is spread out, so some rooms are a long walk from the nearest bar, and service on the beach is more limited than by the pools. Room service and housekeeping draw the occasional complaint. Rhodes Old Town is only 7 km away, though, and couples who want to be looked after from breakfast to the last cocktail will find it easy to settle in.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 26 hotels we list on Rhodes is 9.2.
Featured in our guide: 16 luxury adults-only hotels in Rhodes: the best in 2026
- The staff are the most praised part of a stay. Guests describe them as welcoming, smiling and proactive from check-in to departure, and several describe the service as exceptional.
- The buffet is good, but the à la carte restaurants win the warmest words, and guests praise the bars too, with signature cocktails and mocktails worth trying.
- The resort is large, and one guest in a room with a shared pool had a long walk to the nearest bar. If you like everything close by, the layout is worth bearing in mind.
- Drinks and food service on the beach offers fewer options than by the pools, and one guest wished staff were stricter about sunbeds being reserved, despite signs saying it is not allowed.
