Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels

Ece Hotel Sovalye Island sits on its own island in the Gulf of Fethiye, and guests praise the location, the views, the quiet and the staff. The boat is the only way in, which is the appeal and the limitation: coming and going runs to a timetable.

An island hotel in the Gulf of Fethiye, ten minutes by boat, with a private beach area and two restaurants. Best for travellers who want the water on all sides and no traffic.

Guests score it 9.6 out of 10 — the average across the 10 hotels we list in Fethiye is 9.5.

  • The hotel stands on Şövalye Island in the Gulf of Fethiye, about ten minutes by boat from the mainland, with sea views from its terraced gardens.
  • A private beach area lies at the water's edge above ancient ruins, and the hotel also has an outdoor pool.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | More than a hotel — a place that stays with you Our stay at Ece Boutique Hotel on Şövalye Island was not just another hotel experience — it became one of the most memorable and heartfelt parts of our entire Turkey journey. From the moment we arrived, there was an immediate sense of calm. The setting is simply breathtaking — crystal-clear blue waters, peaceful island surroundings, mountain backdrops, and sunsets that make time slow down for a while. Everything about the place encourages you to breathe deeper, relax more, and truly be present. But what makes this place truly special is not just the location — it is the people. A very special mention to Ece, the owner’s daughter, whose warmth, kindness, and personalised care transformed our stay into something deeply personal. She has that rare ability to make you feel genuinely welcomed, not as hotel guests, but as friends visiting a beautiful family home. Whether it was checking in on us, helping with recommendations, or simply creating such a warm and effortless atmosphere, her hospitality felt sincere and natural in a way that is increasingly rare to find. There is a soul to this place. One of the highlights of our stay was dining at Ada Restaurant, their Michelin-recommended restaurant overlooking the sea. Watching the sunset from the terrace while enjoying an unforgettable dinner was pure magic. The food, the setting, the soft evening light over the water — it was one of those travel moments you know you will remember for years. What we loved most about Ece Boutique Hotel was how it made us feel: peaceful, cared for, connected, and completely removed from the noise of everyday life. In a world where many luxury stays can feel polished but impersonal, this place feels authentic, intimate, and deeply human. If you are visiting Fethiye and want more than just a beautiful hotel — if you want warmth, soul, connection, and unforgettable memories — Ece Boutique Hotel is truly something special. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and a quiet promise to return someday 💙🌊✨”

“I went there 2 years ago for my honeymoon and it is one of the best hotels that i have stayed at, it looks like a family business so the vibes are so cosy. The island itself is magical, the beach with the view of the mountains and the trees and flowers ❤️”

“Extremely relaxing, quiet, and peaceful location on an island with a beautiful setting. The pools and ocean were great to hang out at, top notch sunset views, and welcoming staff across the board. Complimentary boat is easy to coordinate and use”

“This is a lovely hotel, and a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were amazing, especially Osman who was charming and very helpful. The location is beautiful, just a short boat ride from Calis Beach on a lovely island with a cooling breeze. The breakfast was very nice, and eating on the shaded terrace overlooking the sea made it a great experience. It has a pool and beach area, and as the hotel is small, there were always plenty of beds available. There are public ferries into Fethiye if you can drag yourself away, and the hotel provides regular trips to Calis. We ate twice at the Ada restaurant which is connected to the hotel, and which was very good. The other night we ate at the Fish market in Fethiye (you buy your fish from a vendor and the restaurant cooks it, which was also good)...”

“Stayed for a few days at the start of June for a winding down part of our visit to Turkey and it fulfilled this in every way. The whole mood and atmosphere is very relaxed, from the way the service is attentive but not intrusive, to the lovely and comfortable pools and sea deck. Osman, our host, was always on hand and great to chat to, answer any question or make any arrangements for our stay. Didn’t get asked a room number or sign a receipt the whole time there, which made for a very personal service feeling, it just all magically added up at the end. We had the Queen suite, which was massive and had 2 balconies; sun up / sun down. The views are great. If you were staying for longer, the full kitchen could come in handy. There are a number of large seated patio areas dotted around and a charming vine shaded bar area to have drinks and daytime meals. The sea around the jetty was great for snorkelling and there were numerous paddle items to use. We ate at the adjoining restaurant, Ada, one night which was excellent, it’s essentially part of the hotel. Used the transfer boat one evening to the mainland which was easy enough, but remember to book it, otherwise it’s late night calls to Osman! Gets mentioned a lot in the reviews so won’t dwell on it, but suffice to say, if you’re a certain age, your knees will remember this hotel! However, not once did we have to carry any luggage up or down any stairs, staff were always ready to move you around and there is a luggage funicular type thing from the boat jetty to the hotel. Couple of things that don’t get mentioned much; there is a frog pond by the bar and they shout at you when you pass! 2 happy dogs are resident who do like attention ;)”
