Tripplo’s hotel summary
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Atlantica Kalliston Resort is an adults-only resort right on the seafront west of Chania, with four pools and seven restaurants. Guests praise the food, the beach position and the staff. It is a big resort rather than a hideaway, and the sandy beach in front is public, so it fills up in high season.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 53 hotels we list on Crete is 9.1.
- Only adults stay here, so the pools, restaurants and beach area keep a calm, grown-up mood.
- Alongside the main pools there is an unusual beach pool with soft sand, sea rocks and palms, and the spa adds a hot tub and a fitness centre.
- With suites, maisonettes, villas and several restaurants spread across the grounds, it feels like a full resort rather than an intimate boutique hotel.
- The sandy beach in front of the resort is public and popular, so in high season you share it with day visitors.

Reviews from Google“We had a wonderful stay at Atlantica Kalliston. The hotel is beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding throughout our holiday. A special thank you to the entire staff for their kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again in the future!”
“This is the second Atlantica we’ve been to and it mached our previous experience & expectations. The staff is mostly incredible, will do everything they can to help you and are always chatty, warm and friendly. We had a bottle of wine on arrival with a card and that was a special touch. Our swim up room was beautiful, always cleaned daily, the bathroom was stunning and the facilities very well maintained throught the hotel. We did some of the activities provided by the hotel such as the cocktail making class or the wine tasting. They could benefit from improvements to make them more engaging as they lacked a bit of structure and that fun element but the staff aren’t teachers so it’s understandable. It was great that we could do these though and they were complimentary. The restaurants were all decent - main buffet, greek, italian, and asian - plenty choice. and you could always find something you liked. Desserts are definitely lacking and i feel that they are an afterthought. Stunning interiors, private sunbeds on the beach, incredible staff and very attentive. Would come back & as well as would continue to visit other Atlantica hotels too.”
“The hotel was incredible with a very modern vibe. The views from the pools and bar area were stunning. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the breakfast every day was completely overwhelming with the choice on offer. The thing that really made the holiday were the staff at the hotel, everyone was so helpful and cheerful. If we ever return to Crete we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.”
“Beautiful resort that has everything you could ever wish for!! Absolutly no complaints at all! Kind an friendly staff. Gorgeaus clean rooms and Good food. Don’t miss yoga in the Morning with lovely instructor Tanja🥰”
“The facilities and staff were incredible. It felt very cozy and romantic while also being luxurious. Great location, easily walkable to restaurants. The breakfast was incredible, but would recommend going off the property for lunch and dinner. We were excited about the Greek restaurant and found it underwhelming.”
